Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to nursing staff and support personnel
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Assign patient care responsibilities and oversee workflow management to maintain efficiency
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical decision-making and conflict resolution
- Assist in patient assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records, incident reports, and staff performance evaluations
- Train and mentor new nursing staff, providing support and education
- Respond to emergency situations, critical patient conditions, and staffing challenges
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process evaluations
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or charge nurse role
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient care standards, and emergency response protocols
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive work environment
