Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor overnight polysomnographic studies, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Prepare equipment and calibrate systems according to study protocols.
• Monitor physiological signals during testing and make necessary technical adjustments.
• Score sleep studies and generate reports for physician interpretation.
• Educate patients on procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort throughout the study.
• Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and inventory of sleep lab equipment.
• Adhere to HIPAA, facility protocols, and AASM guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnographic Technology or Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program.
• RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential preferred or required by hiring facility/state.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in conducting sleep studies.
• Proficient in scoring sleep stages and identifying respiratory events and limb movements.
• Excellent patient interaction and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments across various healthcare facilities.
