Responsibilities

• Provide basic healthcare services to students and staff.
• Assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries.

• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Implement infection control and disease prevention protocols.
• Develop individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency action plans (EAPs).
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers.
• Educate students on nutrition, hygiene, and wellness.
• Monitor immunization records and ensure compliance with state health regulations.
• Assist in health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.).

Qualifications

• Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health.
• Certifications: BLS required; School Nurse Certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of child health, first aid, and emergency care.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and assist with student care.
