TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Post-Surgical to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in pain management, wound care, post-operative monitoring, and patient education to ensure a smooth recovery.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess post-surgical patients for signs of complications, such as infection, bleeding, or respiratory distress
Administer IV fluids, medications, and pain management therapies as prescribed
Perform wound care, dressing changes, and drain management to promote proper healing
Assist patients with mobility, deep breathing exercises, and post-op rehabilitation protocols
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medication adherence, and activity restrictions
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and physical therapists to optimize patient recovery
Recognize and respond to post-op complications, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE)
Maintain accurate patient records, vitals, and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
Minimum 2 years of experience in post-surgical, medical-surgical, or PACU nursing
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Strong understanding of pain management, wound care, and surgical recovery protocols
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple post-op patients simultaneously
Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
