TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. This role is ideal for RNs with expertise in gastroenterology, patient monitoring, and procedural nursing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
- Assist gastroenterologists and surgeons during colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and other endoscopic procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and sedation levels before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications, IV sedations, and contrast agents as needed
- Maintain and sterilize endoscopic equipment according to infection control protocols
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
- Respond to complications or emergencies that may arise during procedures
- Document patient assessments, procedures, and recovery notes in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 1-2 years of endoscopy or procedural nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Strong knowledge of GI procedures, sedation management, and patient monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
