TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Histotechnician (HT) to assist in the preparation of tissue samples for diagnostic evaluation. This position is primarily structured for travel assignments, making it ideal for laboratory professionals looking to apply their skills in a variety of clinical settings while exploring new locations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination, including fixation, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
- Operate histology laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Label, document, and manage specimen integrity with precision.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols.
- Assist in special staining procedures and support pathologists during diagnostic processes.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Integrate quickly into new lab environments and contribute to efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- HT(ASCP) certification or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Histotechnology, Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of histology lab experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments at various healthcare facilities.
