Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and assisting during procedures. This position is primarily structured for travel assignments, ideal for surgical techs who enjoy new challenges and working in different healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
- Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain surgical inventory and restock as necessary.
- Document procedures and sterilization logs accurately and in compliance with facility policies.
- Adapt quickly to different facility protocols and surgical teams.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification (CST or equivalent) preferred or required based on state regulations.
- Minimum 1–2 years of surgical experience in hospital or ambulatory surgical settings.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and OR safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments to various healthcare facilities.
