TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Special Education Teacher for travel assignments in schools and educational institutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, providing a supportive learning environment, and collaborating with other educators and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with disabilities.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and support professionals to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and school policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Certification:
- State-issued Special Education Teaching License.
- Additional certifications in Autism, Behavioral Interventions, or Learning Disabilities preferred.
- Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a Special Education Teacher (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, instructional strategies, and behavioral management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with students of various ages and learning disabilities.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to relocate for temporary travel assignments.
