Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Assist in patient preparation and positioning as needed.
• Handle and care for surgical specimens properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of scrub tech experience in an operating room setting.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in surgical asepsis and instrument handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Travel Readiness: Must be willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
