Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and other respiratory treatments.
- Operate and maintain ventilators and life-support equipment.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Certification:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care.
- Skills:
- Expertise in mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Travel Readiness: Willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
