Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for travel assignments. The RRT will provide respiratory care treatments, manage ventilators, and assess patient conditions in various healthcare settings. This role requires technical expertise, critical thinking, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and other respiratory treatments.
  • Operate and maintain ventilators and life-support equipment.
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Certification:
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Travel Readiness: Willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
