Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and aerosol treatments.
- Assist in mechanical ventilation management and non-invasive ventilation support.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust respiratory treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease prevention.
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, and healthcare teams to provide optimal care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Certification:
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in oxygen therapy, airway management, and ventilator care.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Travel Readiness: Willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
