Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma for travel assignments. The Trauma RN will provide rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization for critically injured patients in high-acuity emergency settings. This role requires quick decision-making, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment alongside a multidisciplinary trauma team.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and assessment of trauma patients.
• Provide immediate emergency care, including resuscitation and life-saving interventions.
• Administer IV fluids, blood products, and emergency medications.
• Assist in intubation, chest tube placement, and other emergency procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, and paramedics.
• Operate and manage emergency medical equipment.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately.
• Educate patients and families about post-trauma care and recovery.
• Participate in trauma drills and continuing education to maintain skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ER/Trauma nursing experience.
• Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (required)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of emergency protocols and trauma care.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and act quickly.
  • Excellent critical thinking and teamwork skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
