Responsibilities
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Travel RN – Special Procedures nurse to assist in various interventional and diagnostic procedures. This role involves working closely with physicians and healthcare teams to provide specialized nursing care in interventional radiology, catheterization labs, and other procedural areas. The ideal candidate will have expertise in pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during specialized procedures such as interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, and endovascular treatments.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition during procedures.
- Administer IV medications, contrast agents, and moderate sedation.
- Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, recovery, and post-procedure care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and sterile technique protocols.
- Document procedural details, medications administered, and patient responses.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, radiologists, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety.
