TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) to provide critical care to post-surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized interventions. This role involves assessing patients, managing life-support equipment, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill post-surgical patients in the SICU
Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and neurological responses for early detection of complications
Administer IV fluids, medications, and blood products as per physician orders
Operate and manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Implement and adjust care plans based on patient responses and clinical protocols
Educate patients and families on post-operative care, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
Minimum 1 year of experience in an SICU, ICU, or critical care setting preferred
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Strong understanding of post-surgical complications, pain management, and wound care
Proficiency in critical thinking, rapid assessment, and emergency interventions
