Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care for short-stay patients.
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and post-procedure recovery progress.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and other necessary treatments.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and follow-up instructions.
- Coordinate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care, assessments, and treatments.
- Assist in discharge planning and coordination with outpatient services.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Short Stay Unit, PACU, Med-Surg, or similar setting.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients, work in high-stress situations, and move quickly.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
