Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ mental health status, emotional well-being, and risk factors

- Implement therapeutic interventions to manage psychiatric symptoms
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when needed
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, and coping strategies
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and care plans
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, mental health laws, and ethical nursing practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health setting preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred
- Strong ability to de-escalate crises and provide patient-centered mental health care
- Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
