Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and spinal injuries.
- Monitor post-surgical recovery, manage pain, and prevent complications.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and rehabilitation teams.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Assist with casts, traction, braces, and mobility aids.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in an orthopedic, med-surg, or rehab setting.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Strong pain management, wound care, and mobility assistance skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with patient transfers, lifting, and mobility support.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
