This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate has strong assessment skills, experience in post-surgical care, and knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and spinal injuries.
• Monitor post-surgical recovery, manage pain, and prevent complications.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and rehabilitation teams.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises.
• Assist with casts, traction, braces, and mobility aids.
• Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.

Qualifications

• Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in an orthopedic, med-surg, or rehab setting.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Skills: Strong pain management, wound care, and mobility assistance skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with patient transfers, lifting, and mobility support.
• Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
