Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN – Orthopedics for travel assignments. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate has strong assessment skills, experience in post-surgical care, and knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and spinal injuries.
- Monitor post-surgical recovery, manage pain, and prevent complications.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and rehabilitation teams.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Assist with casts, traction, braces, and mobility aids.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in an orthopedic, med-surg, or rehab setting.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Strong pain management, wound care, and mobility assistance skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with patient transfers, lifting, and mobility support.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
