Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for healthy newborns.
• Conduct newborn assessments, including Apgar scoring, vital signs monitoring, and reflex checks.
• Assist with early bonding and breastfeeding support.
• Administer newborn medications, vaccinations, and screenings.
• Educate and support parents on newborn care, feeding, and safe sleep practices.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, lactation consultants, and postpartum nurses.
• Recognize and escalate any signs of neonatal distress or complications.
• Travel to various hospital newborn nurseries for temporary assignments.

Qualifications

• Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Newborn Nursery, Postpartum, or NICU setting.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP required.
• Skills: Proficiency in neonatal assessments, breastfeeding support, and family education.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour shifts and respond to urgent situations.
• Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
