Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
Monitor maternal and newborn vital signs and recovery progress.
Assist with breastfeeding and lactation support.
Educate new mothers on postpartum care, newborn care, and safety.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and screenings for both mother and baby.
Recognize and respond to postpartum complications or neonatal distress.
Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and postpartum nurses.
Travel to various hospitals and mother-baby units for temporary assignments.

Qualifications

Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Mother Baby, Postpartum, or OB/GYN setting.
Certifications: BLS, NRP required.
Skills: Proficiency in postpartum assessments, breastfeeding support, and patient education.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour shifts and respond to urgent situations.
Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
