Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg and telemetry patients.
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry readings to detect arrhythmias or changes in heart rhythm.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and specialized cardiac treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and post-discharge care.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, such as cardiac events.
- Maintain accurate patient records, assessments, and care plans.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Med Surg Tele unit.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong EKG interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and critical care response.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour shifts and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
