Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to Med Surg and telemetry patients.
Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry readings to detect arrhythmias or changes in heart rhythm.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and specialized cardiac treatments.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and post-discharge care.
Recognize and respond to emergency situations, such as cardiac events.
Maintain accurate patient records, assessments, and care plans.
Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.

Qualifications

Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Med Surg Tele unit.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
Skills: Strong EKG interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and critical care response.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour shifts and handle physically demanding tasks.
Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
