TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for travel assignments. This role involves providing specialized care to expectant mothers throughout the childbirth process, ensuring both maternal and neonatal well-being. The ideal candidate is skilled in obstetric care, fetal monitoring, and emergency interventions.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, and contractions to assess labor progress.
Administer medications, epidurals, and IV fluids as needed.
Assist OB/GYNs and midwives during deliveries, including vaginal and C-section births.
Educate patients and families on labor procedures, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
Manage complications such as preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, and fetal distress.
Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
Provide emotional support to mothers and families throughout labor and delivery.

Qualifications

Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or Women’s Health.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN required.
Skills: Proficient in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and emergency OB care.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and respond quickly in emergencies.
Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
