TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for travel assignments. This role involves providing specialized care to expectant mothers throughout the childbirth process, ensuring both maternal and neonatal well-being. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, and contractions to assess labor progress.
- Administer medications, epidurals, and IV fluids as needed.
- Assist OB/GYNs and midwives during deliveries, including vaginal and C-section births.
- Educate patients and families on labor procedures, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
- Manage complications such as preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, and fetal distress.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
- Provide emotional support to mothers and families throughout labor and delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or Women’s Health.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN required.
- Skills: Proficient in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and emergency OB care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
