Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion for travel assignments. This role involves administering intravenous (IV) medications, fluids, and therapies to patients while ensuring the highest level of safety and care. The RN will work with oncology, autoimmune, and other infusion therapy patients in a clinical or outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV medications, blood products, chemotherapy, and hydration therapy.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare teams for optimal patient care.
- Ensure proper IV line care and maintenance.
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in an infusion, oncology, or IV therapy setting.
- Certifications: BLS required; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of IV therapy, venipuncture, and infusion protocols.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
