TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Hematology Oncology to provide specialized care for patients with blood disorders and cancer. The RN will administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with oncology teams to ensure high-quality care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other hematologic treatments.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to hematology and oncology patients
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood transfusions per physician orders
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and manage side effects
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Perform venipuncture, IV therapy, and central line care
- Assess and manage pain, symptoms, and complications related to cancer treatments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 1–2 years of hematology/oncology nursing experience preferred
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification is a plus
- Proficiency in IV therapy, central lines, and blood transfusion protocols
- Strong compassion, attention to detail, and ability to work in high-stress environments
