Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab to provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and gastroenterological procedures. The RN will assist in procedures, administer sedation, monitor patients, and ensure a safe and efficient environment in the GI Lab.
Responsibilities
- Assist with endoscopic, colonoscopy, and other GI procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures
- Administer moderate sedation and medications as per physician orders
- Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 1–2 years of GI Lab or endoscopy nursing experience preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Experience with moderate sedation and patient monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment
