Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Geriatrics to provide high-quality care to elderly patients. This role is ideal for RNs with experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric hospital settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care tailored to elderly patients’ unique health needs
- Monitor and assess chronic conditions, administer medications, and manage treatments
- Assist with mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities to enhance patient comfort
- Educate patients and families on aging-related health concerns and disease management
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Implement and follow fall prevention and infection control protocols
- Document patient conditions, progress, and care plans accurately and timely
- Support end-of-life care and palliative care services as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 2 years of geriatric, long-term care, or home health experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of age-related diseases, such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, and osteoporosis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with elderly patients and families
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and care documentation
