Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an RN Electrophysiology (EP) for travel assignments in specialized cardiac care settings. The RN Electrophysiology will assist in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders by supporting EP studies, catheter ablations, and pacemaker/ICD implantations. This role requires strong cardiac nursing experience, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in high-acuity environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in electrophysiology procedures such as EP studies, ablations, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and loop recorder placements.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications, sedation, and IV therapies as required.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, post-procedure care, and device management.
- Work collaboratively with cardiologists, EP lab teams, and anesthesia providers.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Certification: Active RN license; BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiology, electrophysiology, or cath lab nursing.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias, EP procedures, and telemetry monitoring.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments.
