TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized critical care to patients with severe cardiac conditions. This role is ideal for RNs with expertise in post-cardiac surgery, advanced cardiac monitoring, and critical care interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive care to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, including open-heart and valve replacement procedures
- Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, ventilators, and advanced cardiac devices such as ECMO, IABP, and LVAD
- Administer critical medications, IV drips, and titrate vasoactive drugs as needed
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assess and respond to changes in patient conditions with rapid, precise interventions
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and disease management
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies
- Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU or ICU experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
- Proficiency in managing ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and cardiac monitoring equipment
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
