- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with correctional officers and healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective care.
- Educate patients on chronic disease management and preventive healthcare.
- Follow security protocols and maintain a professional demeanor in a correctional setting.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s).
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in corrections, emergency medicine, or public health.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and work in a secure environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
- Willingness to comply with facility-specific security procedures.
