TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapy Technologist to deliver precise radiation treatments, ensure patient safety, and provide compassionate care. Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation doses to patients, following oncologist treatment plans.
- Operate and adjust linear accelerators and related radiation?therapy equipment to ensure accurate dose delivery.
- Monitor patient responses during treatment and report side effects to the medical team.
- Maintain detailed, accurate treatment records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients about the treatment process and provide emotional support throughout their care.
- Strictly adhere to radiation?safety protocols and quality?assurance measures.
- Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adapt quickly to different facility workflows and contribute positively to each healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- Current ARRT (RT?T) certification required (state licensure where applicable).
- Minimum 2 years of experience delivering therapeutic radiation treatments.
- Comprehensive understanding of radiation?safety principles and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication, critical?thinking, and patient?care skills.
- Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments across multiple facilities.
