Responsibilities
- Administer radiation?therapy treatments according to oncologist prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation?therapy equipment.
- Educate and prepare patients for treatment procedures, addressing questions and concerns.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and immobilization to achieve precise dose delivery.
- Monitor patients during treatment, reporting and documenting any adverse reactions.
- Adhere to strict radiation?safety protocols and perform routine quality?assurance checks.
- Maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Adapt quickly to different facility workflows and contribute positively to each healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or closely related field.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required (state licensure where applicable).
- Minimum 1?2 years of experience delivering therapeutic radiation treatments.
- Strong technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent patient?communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high?pressure clinical situations.
- Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments across multiple facilities.
