TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Polysomnographer for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The Polysomnographer will perform sleep studies to diagnose and monitor patients with sleep disorders, ensuring accurate data collection and patient comfort throughout the testing process. Responsibilities
- Conduct overnight, daytime, and home sleep studies as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and maintain polysomnographic (PSG) and related monitoring equipment.
- Apply and adjust electrodes, sensors, and CPAP/BiPAP devices as needed.
- Monitor and record patient sleep patterns, respiratory functions, and other physiological data.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for physicians.
- Educate patients on sleep disorders, testing procedures, and treatment options.
- Ensure compliance with AASM, HIPAA, and facility protocols.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Polysomnographic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field.
- Certification: RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sleep studies.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of PSG equipment, patient care, and data interpretation.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments.
