Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and label medications for patient use according to prescription orders.
- Maintain proper inventory control and ensure medications are stocked and stored properly.
- Process medication orders and verify their accuracy.
- Maintain and clean pharmacy equipment and work areas.
- Assist in the management of medication records and patient profiles.
- Provide customer service by answering patient inquiries and assisting in medication-related questions.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
- Licensure: State Pharmacy Technician licensure required, as applicable.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail setting.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments.
