Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency medical situations and provide advanced life support (ALS).
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen as required by patients' conditions.
- Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Assist in preparing patients for transport to medical facilities.
- Operate and maintain ambulance and emergency equipment.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and receive medical direction when needed.
- Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed during transport.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved Paramedic program.
- Certification: EMT-P (Paramedic) certification required; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Paramedic.
- Skills: Strong decision-making skills, clinical proficiency, and the ability to remain calm in emergencies.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments.
