Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Paramedic for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The Paramedic will provide emergency medical care, including advanced life support, during transport to medical facilities. This role requires quick decision-making, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to provide patient care in urgent situations. The Paramedic will respond to emergencies, administer medications, and support medical teams during patient assessments and treatments.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency medical situations and provide advanced life support (ALS).
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen as required by patients' conditions.
- Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Assist in preparing patients for transport to medical facilities.
- Operate and maintain ambulance and emergency equipment.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and receive medical direction when needed.
- Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed during transport.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved Paramedic program.
- Certification: EMT-P (Paramedic) certification required; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Paramedic.
- Skills: Strong decision-making skills, clinical proficiency, and the ability to remain calm in emergencies.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments.
