Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring it is sterile and equipped with necessary tools and supplies.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgeries.
- Maintain sterile techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Set up and monitor surgical equipment to ensure functionality.
- Prepare and handle surgical specimens for lab testing.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide assistance as needed during surgery.
- Clean and disinfect surgical instruments and the operating room post-surgery.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Surgical Technology Certification (CST) or equivalent required.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR Tech.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room protocols.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments.
