Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an OR Tech - CVOR Tech for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The CVOR Tech will assist in cardiovascular surgeries by preparing the operating room, ensuring all cardiovascular-specific instruments are sterile, and supporting the surgical team. This role requires in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular surgery, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a sterile and efficient environment in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular surgeries by ensuring it is sterile and properly equipped.
• Assist the cardiovascular surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain sterile techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
• Set up and operate cardiovascular-specific surgical equipment.
• Prepare and handle cardiac surgical specimens for laboratory testing.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist during surgery as required.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain surgical instruments and the operating room post-surgery.
• Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments.

Qualifications

• Education: Surgical Technology Certification (CST) or equivalent required.
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR Tech in cardiovascular surgery.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room protocols.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments.
