Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mammo Tech to perform high-quality mammographic imaging for breast cancer screening and diagnostic purposes. This position is primarily structured for travel assignments, ideal for professionals who are adaptable, compassionate, and interested in working across different clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following ACR and FDA guidelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and answering questions.
- Accurately position patients to capture optimal imaging for evaluation.
- Operate mammography equipment and ensure regular maintenance checks.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with HIPAA and facility standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers for follow-up recommendations.
- Adjust to new clinical environments and contribute to quality care across facilities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with mammography specialization.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography preferred.
- Knowledge of breast imaging protocols, including 3D tomosynthesis (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, empathy, and communication skills.
- Must be open and available for travel-based assignments.
