Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Rehab for travel assignments in various rehabilitation facilities. The LPN in this role will provide skilled nursing care, support rehabilitation treatments, and assist patients in their recovery process. This position requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced rehab environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions.
- Assist in physical therapy exercises and rehabilitation programs.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and treatment responses.
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility guidelines.
- Travel to various rehab centers for temporary assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- License: Active LPN license in the state of practice or compact state.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in rehab, med-surg, or long-term care preferred.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Skills: Strong patient care, teamwork, and rehabilitation-focused nursing skills.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments.
