The Lab Assistant will support laboratory operations by preparing specimens, conducting basic tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting laboratory personnel. Responsibilities
- Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform basic laboratory tests under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab equipment and work areas.
- Assist laboratory personnel in data entry and documentation.
- Follow strict safety and infection control procedures.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies and reorder as needed.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Preferred but not required (e.g., ASCP certification).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow procedures.
