The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to diagnose neurological disorders. This role requires expertise in operating EEG equipment, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
Responsibilities
- Perform EEG tests to record electrical activity in the brain.
- Apply electrodes and ensure proper placement for accurate readings.
- Monitor patient responses during testing and report any abnormalities.
- Assist physicians in diagnosing conditions such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, and brain injuries.
- Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment for optimal functionality.
- Document patient information, test results, and observations in medical records.
- Provide patient education and ensure comfort during procedures.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or a related field preferred.
- Certification: Registered EEG Technician (R. EEG T.) credential preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience performing EEG tests.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent patient care, and knowledge of EEG procedures.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments and relocate as needed.
