Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with occupational therapy exercises and activities.
  • Implement treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve mobility and independence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Certification: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and patient-care skills.
