Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Anesthesia Technician for exciting travel assignments across various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will assist anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia care to patients. This role requires technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments such as operating rooms, ICUs, and emergency departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and gas delivery systems.
- Assist anesthesiologists and CRNAs with patient preparation and procedural support.
- Set up and calibrate monitoring devices and IV infusion equipment.
- Ensure the availability and proper storage of anesthesia medications and supplies.
- Clean, sterilize, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and restock anesthesia carts and emergency drugs as needed.
- Assist in airway management procedures, including intubation support.
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Anesthesia Technology or related field (preferred).
- Certification: Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in an anesthesia support role.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of anesthesia equipment, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments to various healthcare facilities.
